Five Minute Motivation

Strike yourself out.

Episode Summary

Hosts Patrick Giarelli and Brian Donovan have 5 minutes to take a quote that you may have seen in your everyday life on social media accounts and the walls of your guidance counselor's office, and hit you with some wisdom and insight that you may not have considered before. You may hear some F*Bombs and we're not always appropriate, but Five Minute Motivation is all about making the world a better place by asking listeners to pay attention, work hard, and be kind to others.

Episode Notes

The quote in this episode is:

"Every strike brings me closer to the next home run."

On the suggestion of Patrick's brother James, we open the format up a bit, and have a free 5 minute conversation instead of breaking it up in half.  I think it was naturally pretty similar to our usual discussions, so nothing groundbreaking was discovered, but nothing horrible happened either.

Trying something new just so happened to fit in perfectly with the quote from this episode.   Patrick and Brian discuss what it means to try something and fail, either once or repeatedly.  They talk about the fact that Babe Ruth wasn't remembered for his strikeouts, but rather his home run record, so therefore we should all limit the fear that comes from the risk of failure, and continue swinging for the fences...

Thanks so much for listening, and we'll see you in 5 minutes!
